Getting Started with WakeRooms

How do I create a WakeRooms account?

Creating an account is easy:

  1. Click the "Sign Up" button on the WakeRooms homepage.
  2. Enter your Wake Forest email address (@wfu.edu).
  3. Create a secure password.
  4. Check your email for a verification link and click to confirm your account.
  5. Complete your profile questionnaire to help with roommate matching.

Remember, only current Wake Forest students can create an account.

What information do I need for my profile?

Your profile helps potential roommates get to know you. We recommend including:

  • Your year/class
  • Sleep schedule preferences
  • Study habits
  • Social preferences
  • Cleanliness expectations
  • Interests and hobbies
  • Brief bio to introduce yourself

The more details you provide, the better your roommate matches will be!

What's the timeline for using WakeRooms?

WakeRooms follows the Wake Forest housing selection timeline:

  • Early Spring Semester: Create your account and start browsing potential roommates
  • 2-3 Months Before Housing Selection: Begin active roommate search and send/receive requests
  • 1 Month Before Selection: Finalize roommate arrangements
  • Housing Selection Period: Use WakeRooms to view and select available rooms during your assigned window

Specific dates vary each year, but we'll send email reminders about important deadlines.
